STUDENT ATHLETE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

APPLICATION GUIDELINES:


  • Up to six one-time scholarships of $500 each will be awarded. (number of awards dependent on available funds)
  • Must be a graduating High School Senior and attending college, university or technical school next fall.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Award will be based upon need and community involvement. Every applicant will need to submit their FAFSA form.
  • All information provided will be verified by LOLOA with your high school principal or guidance counselor.
  • Finalists may be interviewed by a committee of at least 3 LOLOA members.

 

MATERIALS TO BE SENT TO THE LOLOA:


  • Fill out the online application
  • A copy of the applicant’s student aid report (SAR) which are the results of the FAFSA application.
  • Letter of acceptance from the future school’s admission office.
  • Three written references, with at least one from a teacher or school administrator and one from a coach.
  • A typed essay (minimum of 150 words) answering how participation in athletics has helped you to achieve your current goals as well as your future goals. If your parent is a member of the LOLOA, how has his/her involvement in officiating impacted your current and future goals.
